Question: how do you handle pressure? "I break the work into the next hour and do that first. In my final-year project our demo moved up a week, so I split what was left into daily pieces and we showed a working version on the new date. This role has tight release dates too, so you would see the same from me."
Question: tell me about a time you disagreed with your manager. "I raise it early and one to one. Last year my manager wanted to launch without load testing; I asked for two days, showed him one slow query, and we launched a week later with no outage. Here I would do the same: say it early, bring one fact, then commit to the call."
Background before the answer loses them. Answer, then explain.
"Hard-working, honest, quick learner" proves nothing. One moment proves one of them.
Long answers invite interruptions. Stop after the job line; they will ask for more.
Any question you can answer with a point and an example: behaviour questions, HR questions, "tell me about a time". For the most common ones there is a page with its own rules, listed at the bottom of this page.
