TCS's interview questions for seven jobs, 56 in all, each with what it checks and a sample spoken answer, and what TCS itself says about how it hires. Every line about the process below comes from TCS's own careers pages, linked next to it and checked on 3 October 2026. Nothing here comes from review sites, and there are no pass rates or salaries.
Each set below was written for one TCS job, from the work that job does. Open a set for every question with what the interviewer is checking, an answer frame, a sample spoken answer and the red flag to avoid.
eight questions: three technical, two behavioral, one system design, one scenario and one on why TCS.

TCS's careers pages name four steps: register, online test (tcs nqt), category and interview. Fresh graduates register on TCS NextStep under 'IT' and must click 'Apply for Drive' to be considered. You take the National Qualifier Test at an allotted TCS iON centre: a Foundation part and an Advanced part. Based on how you do in the test, you qualify for a Prime, Digital or Ninja interview. Shortlisted candidates get next steps by email, and original documents are checked at the interview and again at joining. Ask your recruiter which of them apply to your job.
The Foundation part covers numerical, verbal and reasoning ability. The Advanced part covers advanced quantitative and reasoning ability plus coding, and it is required for Digital or Prime offers. TCS checks eligibility at every stage, including a 60% minimum aggregate and no pending backlogs.
Read the FAQs before you register and fill the form carefully, since only a few fields can be changed later. Keep all your original mark sheets and degree certificates ready for the interview. TCS never asks for money and never sends hiring mail from Gmail, Yahoo or similar addresses. Then say the answers to the questions below out loud, once each, before the day.
No one outside TCS can promise that. ClapAssist wrote these 56 questions for TCS's seven jobs from the work each job involves; they are practice, not a leak. When candidates send us the questions they were really asked and we approve them, they appear in the box on this page, with a count once three or more people name the same one.
TCS's own pages, read on 3 October 2026. Companies change their process; if a page above says something different from what you are told, trust your recruiter. Seen something out of date? Write to support@clapassist.com.
