Best CoPrep AI Alternatives: ClapAssist vs CoPrep AI
Updated
CoPrep AI and ClapAssist both sit beside a live video interview and stay out of the screen share. The differences are how you pay, what the free start gives you, and where each one runs. CoPrep facts below come from coprep.ai, re-checked on 17 October 2026.
The Core Distinction
CoPrep AI sells minutes as credits that never expire (1 credit = 1 minute of its Interview Assistant), plus unlimited weekly, monthly and quarterly plans that renew until you cancel. Its prices follow your country: outside India its Starter pack of 120 credits was $18 when we last read US-dollar prices (3 October 2026). ClapAssist sells the same 120 minutes as Practice for $14.99, or 14 days with no meter as Sprint for $39.99. It also gives you free prep tools beforehand, and on the real video call it feeds you talking points while staying out of the screen share.

✓ Credits never expire: buy hours now and spend them whenever the interviews come.

✗ Metered: a credit pack buys a set number of minutes (120 on Starter), so a busy interview week means buying again or moving to a subscription.
CoPrep AI's plans and terms, as seen on 17 October 2026
Read from coprep.ai/pricing, its refund page and its feature pages. The pricing page loads prices in the visitor's own currency. Our connection is in India, so we saw rupee prices on 17 October 2026; the US-dollar figures on this page were last read on 3 October 2026 and may not match what you see.
Credit packs: Starter with 120 credits, Pro with 360 and Elite with 840. One credit is one minute of the Interview Copilot; other tools may use credits per action. Purchased credits never expire.
Prices shown to a visitor in India: the three packs at ₹720, ₹1,440 and ₹2,520 after a 20% discount on the day (₹900, ₹1,800 and ₹3,150 before it), and subscriptions at ₹1,500 a week, ₹3,000 a month or ₹7,500 a quarter.
Subscriptions: weekly, monthly and quarterly, each unlimited for the Interview Assistant and mock interviews. They "renew at the selected billing interval until you cancel".
Free start: "New CoPrep AI accounts receive 20 free credits".
Refunds: "Subscription charges, including renewals, are non-refundable." Unused purchased credits "may be refunded when requested within 7 calendar days of purchase."
Where it runs: it lists a Desktop AI Interview Assistant and a Mobile AI Interview Assistant. Its desktop app "uses content protection on macOS and full window capture exclusion on supported modern Windows builds", and it says "Linux does not provide the same exclusion in this app."
Languages and models: answers in "more than 70 supported languages", from models it lists as "OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek & Qwen".
CoPrep AI or ClapAssist: which fits your situation?
One interview this week. Either works. ClapAssist's Practice gives 120 minutes over 2 days (7 days in India); a CoPrep Starter pack is 120 credits that never expire. Run a mock call on each free start before you pay.
Several rounds in the next month. Unmetered time wins here. A ClapAssist Job Hunt runs 30 days with no meter, and CoPrep's unlimited subscriptions do the same by the week, month or quarter.
A slow search over many months. CoPrep's credits suit this better, because ours end with the plan.
You want help on your phone. CoPrep lists a Mobile AI Interview Assistant. ClapAssist runs only on Mac and Windows computers.
A Linux laptop. CoPrep says Linux does not get its full screen-share exclusion, and ClapAssist has no Linux app at all.
It depends on when you will use the time. We make ClapAssist, so weigh that. Both are desktop live-interview copilots that stay out of the screen share. CoPrep AI sells credits that never expire (1 credit = 1 minute of its Interview Assistant) and unlimited subscriptions that renew until you cancel (coprep.ai, checked 17 October 2026). ClapAssist sells 120 minutes as Practice, or 14 or 30 days of unlimited help as Sprint or Job Hunt, paid once, and stays out of Zoom, Teams and Google Meet screen shares on every plan, including Free.
Can CoPrep AI be used in a live interview?
Yes. CoPrep AI has a live Interview Assistant on desktop and mobile, sold as credit packs (Starter is 120 credits, 2 hours) or unlimited plans by the week, month or quarter. Prices show in the visitor's currency: outside India it listed $18 for 120 credits and $30, $60 and $150 for the unlimited plans when we last read its US-dollar prices, on 3 October 2026. ClapAssist is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that listens to the call and shows answers as they are written; the operating system keeps its window out of screen shares.
How does ClapAssist pricing compare to CoPrep AI?
ClapAssist gives 10 free minutes once, with no card, then three plans: Practice (120 minutes within 2 days, 7 days in India), Sprint (14 days, unlimited) and Job Hunt (30 days, unlimited). Prices show in your country's currency at clapassist.com/pricing/, every plan is paid once and never renews, and you get all your money back if you ask within 7 days of paying and used it for under 30 minutes. CoPrep AI starts you with 20 free credits, then sells credit packs and weekly, monthly and quarterly subscriptions that renew until you cancel (coprep.ai/pricing, checked 17 October 2026).
Do CoPrep AI credits expire?
No. CoPrep says purchased credits never expire, and one credit is one minute of its Interview Assistant (coprep.ai/pricing, checked 17 October 2026). ClapAssist does not sell a bank of minutes: Practice runs 2 days (7 days in India), and Sprint and Job Hunt are unlimited for 14 and 30 days.
Can I get a refund from CoPrep AI?
Its pricing page says subscription charges, including renewals, are non-refundable, and that unused purchased credits may be refunded if you ask within 7 calendar days of purchase (checked 17 October 2026). For comparison, ClapAssist refunds in full if you ask within 7 days of paying and used it for under 30 minutes, one refund per person.
Does CoPrep AI work on a phone?
It lists a Mobile AI Interview Assistant next to its Desktop AI Interview Assistant (checked 17 October 2026). ClapAssist is a Mac and Windows app only, so it has to run on the computer that plays the call.
Where are the prices compared?
On ClapAssist as a CoPrep AI alternative: what each plan costs and how long it lasts, with the date each price was read. This page stays on how the tools behave on a live call.
