A ready job search spreadsheet with a Status dropdown, real dates and a follow-up column. Keep it in Excel or Google Sheets, or import it below to get reminders and a board you can drag. The columns are the same both ways.
22 columns, 5 example rows (marked, and left out when you import), a Status list in every row, dates stored as dates, and a follow-up date that turns amber on the day.
Google Sheets: File > Import > Upload, then pick the file. Step by step
Import a filled-in sheet (Excel or CSV) and every row becomes a job, with its follow-up and contact. Download the board as the same sheet any time.

22 columns in one sheet named "Job applications", and a second sheet, "How to use", with these notes.
The header row stays in view as you scroll and has filter buttons. A Summary sheet counts your jobs by status and works out your response rate (an interview or an offer, out of the jobs you applied to) with formulas, so it changes as you type; example rows are never counted. The CSV has the same columns in the same order, without the lists, colors and the Summary (a CSV cannot hold them).
The 5 example rows as they look in the sheet, and what this page's tracker makes of them.
| Company | Job title | Status | Date applied | Follow-up date | Pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Telecom | Customer Service Representative | Interview | 19 Aug 2026 | 26 Aug 2026 | ₱18k–22k / mo |
| Bayview Medical Center | Registered Nurse | Offer | 11 Aug 2026 | 18 Aug 2026 | $38–46 / hr |
| Acme Retail | Data Analyst | Applied | 28 Aug 2026 | 4 Sep 2026 | ₹8 L–12 L / yr |
| Fresh Mart | Store Manager | Rejected | 5 Aug 2026 | 12 Aug 2026 | £32k–36k / yr |

Made by running the tracker's own import on the template file; the figures change as soon as the rows are yours.
The same file works in both, and in Numbers and LibreOffice.
A spreadsheet is yours: it works offline, you can share it with a friend or a career coach, and nothing about it depends on us. What it does not do is remind you. Rows pile up, follow-ups slip, and it cannot tell you which sources lead to interviews.
The tracker above adds that part. Import the sheet and each job gets a follow-up task a week after you applied, a place in the Next steps when a company goes quiet or a deadline comes close, a board you can drag, a resume match against the job post, and a Numbers view from saved to offer. When you want the sheet back, Download my board: Excel gives you the same 22 columns with your changes in them.
Yes, this one. Download the Excel file, then in Google Sheets choose File > Import > Upload and pick it. The Status list, the date format, the frozen header and the colors come with it. It is free, with no sign-up and no email asked.
Start from this template: open the .xlsx file in Excel and type one job per row. To build your own, put the column names in row 1 (Company, Job title, Status, Date applied, Follow-up date, Job link, Contact, Notes), freeze the top row, and add a Status list with Data > Data Validation > List.
The company, the job title and link, the status, the date you applied, the day to follow up, where you found it, who you spoke to and the pay. Those are enough to follow up on time and to see which sources lead to interviews. The template has all of them, plus deadline, work type, tags, notes and the full job description.
Select the Status column, choose Data > Data validation > Add rule, set the criteria to Dropdown and type your stages. The template already has one (Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer, Rejected), and you can still type your own word in a cell.
Yes. Any CSV or Excel file with a Company or Job title column works, even with a title line above the header. Status, Stage or List; Date applied or Applied on; Follow up date; Salary or Salary range; Contact and email are all read, and so are exports from Huntr and Teal. The note after the import names any column it did not read.
They show how a filled-in row looks: one job at each stage, from five countries, with pay in their own currency. Delete them before you start. If you forget, the import leaves them out anyway.
The cell lost its date format (it happens when a sheet is pasted into another). Select the column and choose Format > Number > Date in Google Sheets, or Home > Number Format > Short Date in Excel.
Download the CSV: both Notion and Airtable can import a CSV file as a new table. The columns stay the same, so you can bring it back here later with Import my sheet.
Yes, through the board on this page. Import the sheet, press Paste an email and paste an interview invite, a test, a rejection or an offer. It finds the job, shows what will change and moves it only when you press Apply. Then Download my board: Excel gives you the sheet back with the new status and dates.
The file is yours, on your computer or in your Google Drive. If you import it here, the board is saved in this browser and to ClapAssist; sign in with your email and it is saved to your account, so it shows on any computer you sign in on. What you send to the AI is saved to ClapAssist so our tools can fill it in for you next time; see or delete it at clapassist.com/my-data/.
ClapAssist is a Mac and Windows app that listens to the interview and shows you what to say, so the job moves from Interview to Offer.
