Sensei AI runs in Chrome and bills $89 a month, or $24 a month if you commit to a year. ClapAssist is a desktop app for Mac and Windows, hidden from screen share on every plan, from $39.99 for 14 days.
Both tools put AI answers on your screen during a live call. The difference is what you pay, what is hidden, and what is kept.
Sensei AI: Says it is "fully undetectable"; browser-tab based.

Sensei AI plan names, features and prices taken from senseicopilot.com on 28 August 2026 and re-checked on 3 October 2026. They can change; check their page before you decide. "Not mentioned" means their site does not say it, which is not the same as not having it. ClapAssist prices show in your local currency automatically.
Sensei AI sells "real-time assistance for live interviews" and promises "instant answers to any question during live interviews" (senseicopilot.com, seen 2026-10-03). Its home page lists more than 30 languages, a Coding Copilot, resume upload, under one second of delay and a hands-free mode. The plans also mention an AI resume builder and an AI story editor.
It is a web app: you sign in at app.senseicopilot.com with Google or LinkedIn, and no desktop or phone download is linked anywhere on the site. Its FAQ recommends the latest Chrome and says it works with Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Amazon Chime and others.
It suits someone who cannot install software on their computer, or who wants unlimited short free sessions to rehearse with before paying.
Prices sit on the home page in dollars (seen 2026-10-03):
On the free card, Coding Copilot, the customization suite, industry knowledge add-ons and the AI Playground are shown greyed out. Its coding tutorial says the coding copilot "is only available to our paid subscribers".
There are no refunds. Its FAQ says you can cancel at any time, the current period is not refunded, and access stays on "until the end of the billing cycle". For one or two interviews, compare a single Sensei month at $89 with a ClapAssist Sprint, $39.99 for 14 unlimited days.
Inside a browser, a tool has to be given the call audio. Sensei first did this by sharing your screen with itself, which its own blog says "could display a notification banner". It now offers a Chrome extension that listens to the interview audio directly, described in that post as "currently in beta and available exclusively to our paying members". Its Chrome Web Store listing, "Sensei AI Coding Copilot", showed version 1.1.0 on 2026-10-03.
ClapAssist is a desktop app, so it hears the call through your computer's system audio. Nothing is added to the browser and nothing joins the meeting. On a Mac it asks once for microphone and for screen and system audio recording; on Windows it hears what your speakers or headphones play.
Sensei says it is "fully undetectable and unnoticeable by interviewers", but its pages do not explain how the tab stays out of a whole-screen share. ClapAssist relies on the operating system to leave its window out. Try both with the screen share check.
Its privacy policy, updated 31 March 2026, names Google Analytics, Mixpanel, MailChimp and Stripe, and says that if you delete your account your personal information is deleted within 30 days. It does not describe interview transcripts, recordings or resumes in particular.
At ClapAssist, the call audio and screenshots are used to make the answer and never stored. Your resume, notes, a short written recap and the interview transcript are saved to your account so the app fills them in on any computer; switch transcripts off in Settings and delete any of it anytime. No analytics tracker runs inside the app.
Want practice before you pay anyone? Our free AI mock interview runs in the browser with no account.
No meeting bot, no notes dashboard, no clutter. Just the answer on your screen when the question lands.
Never joins the call, so there is no bot in the participant list. The window is excluded from screen share and recordings. The overlay sits at your eye line, so reading looks like thinking.
ClapAssist hears each question as it is asked and writes a spoken-ready answer from your real roles, projects and numbers. Glance, absorb, say it in your own words.
One interview? Practice. Every round of one job? Sprint. Whole job hunt? Job Hunt. Sprint and Job Hunt are unlimited inside their window, and every plan is hidden from screen share. Pay once. Nothing renews. When your days end, you are back on Free.
A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.
Sensei AI runs entirely in a browser tab, has unlimited free 15-minute sessions, and its yearly plan is cheap per month if you interview for a whole year.
A browser tab is one screen-share click away from being visible. ClapAssist is a separate window excluded from screen capture, on every plan.
One honest note: ClapAssist is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, which watch focus and keystrokes. It warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.
Hidden from screen share on every plan, including Free. Practice covers one interview; Sprint and Job Hunt are unlimited inside their window. Every plan is paid once and never renews. Prices show in your currency, and one account works on Mac and Windows.
A browser tool depends on which tab or window you share. ClapAssist's window is excluded from screen capture by the operating system, whatever you share.
No. Every plan is paid once and never renews.
No. It hears the call through your computer's audio; nothing is installed in the browser.
No. Its FAQ says "We do not offer refunds"; you can cancel at any time, the current billing period is not refunded, and access stays on until the end of that cycle (senseicopilot.com, seen 2026-10-03). ClapAssist has a Money-Back Guarantee (7 days, under 30 minutes used), and both are worth testing on their free plans first.
Partly. The free plan gives 15-minute Copilot sessions, as many as you start, and each ends after 15 minutes. The Coding Copilot is for paid subscribers. Pro is $89 a month or $24 a month billed yearly (seen 2026-10-03). ClapAssist gives 10 free minutes once, with full answers and coding help.
English by default, whatever language is spoken on the call. In Settings, Answer in lets you pick another language, Hinglish, or the same language as the question.
No. Sensei AI is a trademark of its owner. Their prices on this page were taken from senseicopilot.com on 28 August 2026 and may change.
