OphyAI is a browser tool with Pro at ₹2,631 a month and passes at $9.99 per session. ClapAssist is a Mac and Windows app, hidden from screen share on every plan, ₹1,999 for a month of unlimited help.
Both tools put AI answers on your screen during a live call. The difference is what you pay, what is hidden, and what is kept.
OphyAI: "Whisper Mode"; their page says what others see "depends on the browser, meeting app, device, and sharing mode".
ClapAssist: Every plan, including Free — an OS-level window flag.

OphyAI plan names, features and prices taken from ophyai.com on 28 August 2026 and re-checked from an India view on 24 September 2026 and 3 October 2026. They can change; check their page before you decide. "Not mentioned" means their site does not say it, which is not the same as not having it. OphyAI "listens as you interview and surfaces the right answers, talking points, and follow-ups — in real time" (ophyai.com, seen 2026-10-03). Its Interview Copilot suggests answers in 35 languages. Around it sit Coding Interview, Interview Practice, a resume builder, an application assistant, job search and an application tracker.
It runs in a browser tab: "there is no install, no plugin, and no desktop app". It works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on a laptop, tablet or phone, though its FAQ says the live copilot and coding interview are best on a desktop browser. It hears the call through the microphone permission you grant, and the coding product reads a screenshot of the problem.
It suits someone who wants a full job-search kit in one web app and does not want to install anything.
OphyAI sells credits. A standard or technical Copilot session costs 15 credits and an advanced one 25 (ophyai.com pricing, seen 2026-10-03):
Its pricing FAQ says it retired a $9 Basic plan in July 2026, and that articles still quoting $9, or Pro at $19 and Premium at $39, are out of date. ClapAssist has no credits to count: a Sprint is ₹999 for 14 days of unlimited answers.
OphyAI is careful here, which is to its credit. Its copilot page says Whisper Mode "is designed to stay out of normal Zoom screen shares", and then: "Do not assume it is invisible." What others see, it says, depends on what you share or record, your browser, operating system, device and meeting platform.
A desktop window can be removed from capture by the operating system itself. That is how ClapAssist works on Mac and Windows, on every plan. The same advice still holds for us: check it on your own setup with the screen share check before a real call.
Its refund policy, effective 9 September 2026, gives no money-back guarantee on monthly plans except for a verified product fault, at their discretion. First-time yearly or quarterly purchases get a 72-hour money-back guarantee. Passes are final. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your credits until then.
Its privacy policy lists "real time transcriptions and session recordings" and resumes. Interview sessions are "stored for your review and improvement", and it names OpenAI, Google (Gemini) and Groq as AI providers. ClapAssist keeps no recording, and saves your resume, notes, a short recap and the interview transcript to your account, where you can switch transcripts off and delete any of it.
No meeting bot, no notes dashboard, no clutter. Just the answer on your screen when the question lands.
Never joins the call, so there is no bot in the participant list. The window is excluded from screen share and recordings. The overlay sits at your eye line, so reading looks like thinking.
ClapAssist hears each question as it is asked and writes a spoken-ready answer from your real roles, projects and numbers. Glance, absorb, say it in your own words.
One interview? Practice. Every round of one job? Sprint. Whole job hunt? Job Hunt. Sprint and Job Hunt are unlimited inside their window, and every plan is hidden from screen share. Pay once. Nothing renews. When your days end, you are back on Free.
A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.
OphyAI bundles practice sessions, a coding interview product (on its Premium plan) and stored session recordings in one web app with no install. If reviewing recordings afterwards matters, that is their product.
ClapAssist is a separate window excluded from screen capture, on every plan. Your call audio and screenshots are never stored on our servers.
One honest note: ClapAssist is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, which watch focus and keystrokes. It warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.
Hidden from screen share on every plan, including Free. Practice covers one interview; Sprint and Job Hunt are unlimited inside their window. Every plan is paid once and never renews. Prices show in your currency, and one account works on Mac and Windows.
A browser tool depends on which tab or window you share; OphyAI's own page says results depend on browser, app, device and sharing mode. ClapAssist's window is excluded from screen capture by the operating system.
No recording of it. OphyAI stores transcripts and recordings in your account. ClapAssist uses the call audio for the answer and discards it; it saves the written recap and the interview transcript to your account, and you can switch transcripts off in Settings and delete them anytime.
In India, yes: UPI, cards and net banking, inside the app. Everywhere else the app takes cards.
A standard Copilot session costs 15 credits. Pro gives 300 credits a month, about 20 sessions, and Premium 500, about 33 (ophyai.com pricing, seen 2026-10-03). A pass covers one session of up to 2 hours. ClapAssist has no credits: a Sprint or Job Hunt is unlimited for as long as its window runs, 14 or 30 days.
On a first yearly or quarterly plan, yes, within 72 hours. Monthly plans have no money-back guarantee except for a verified fault, and passes are final (its refund policy, effective 9 September 2026, seen 2026-10-03). ClapAssist has a Money-Back Guarantee (7 days, under 30 minutes used), and 10 free minutes to test it first.
English by default, whatever language is spoken on the call. In Settings, Answer in lets you pick another language, Hinglish, or the same language as the question.
