A Careerflow alternative with no extension

Careerflow alternative: score and fix your LinkedIn profile, track jobs and write cover letters, with no extension and no account

Careerflow works through a Chrome extension and an account, and puts AI cover letters, the ATS keyword analyzer and the mock interview behind Premium. ClapAssist reads LinkedIn's own PDF of your profile and gives a score, every fix and the keywords your target jobs use, free, with no extension and no account. The tracker, resume, letters, skills gap plan and mock interview are free too.

Straight answer

When Careerflow is the better pick

A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.

Pick Careerflow if you want help inside LinkedIn and on job sites.

Careerflow's extension reads the LinkedIn profile you are looking at and walks you through edits in place, saves jobs from 45+ sites, fills application forms, finds recruiters and writes LinkedIn posts. Your tracker and resumes follow your account to any computer. ClapAssist has none of that, except for the tracker: sign in with your email and the board follows you as well.

Pick ClapAssist if you want the Premium parts free, with no extension to install.

Cover letters, the full keyword list, a detailed skills gap plan and the mock interview are free here within a daily AI allowance, with no account and no subscription to renew or to argue a refund over.

What you get free, with no account

Every app is free with no account. The optional AI buttons have a small free daily allowance per connection. What you give a tool is saved so our tools can fill it in next time; see or delete it at clapassist.com/my-data/. See every free app.

For the real interview

Practice is free. For the real interview, there is the copilot.

ClapAssist's main product is a desktop app for the live interview itself. It listens to the call on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams and puts a short answer from your own resume on your screen, at your eye line. The window is left out of screen shares on every plan, including Free.

It comes with 10 free interview minutes, once, no card. After that: $14.99 for 120 minutes within 2 days (7 days in India), $39.99 for an unlimited 14 days, or $119.99 for an unlimited 30 days. Prices show in your currency. The career apps above stay free either way.

It is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, and it warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.

Questions

Switching from Careerflow

Is Careerflow free?

Partly. On 27 September 2026 its free plan had the Chrome extension, the job tracker, networking tracker and autofill (all marked "will be limited soon"), one resume, a basic LinkedIn optimizer and a skill gap score only. AI cover letters, AI LinkedIn posts, the ATS keyword analyzer and the bullet writer need Premium; the AI mock interview needs Premium Plus.

How much is Careerflow Premium?

In US dollars on 27 September 2026: Premium was $8.99 a week, $23.99 a month, $54.99 a quarter or $172.99 a year; Premium Plus was $19.99 a week, $44.99 a month, $119.99 a quarter or $299.99 a year. Its page shows local prices in some countries.

Is there a free LinkedIn profile optimizer without an extension?

Yes. ClapAssist's LinkedIn profile optimizer reads LinkedIn's Save to PDF file, your data export or pasted text and gives a score out of 100, a mark for each section, every fix, and the keywords your target job posts ask for. It is free with no account; the AI rewrites have a small free daily allowance.

Is Careerflow AI safe?

Careerflow says it does not use LinkedIn's API or automation against LinkedIn's terms, and its FAQ says it never sells your personal data to third parties. Its privacy notice also says it discloses personal information to ad networks for benefits that could be deemed a sale under some laws. ClapAssist needs no extension: you upload LinkedIn's own PDF, the review runs in your browser, and what you upload is saved only so our tools can fill it in; delete it anytime at clapassist.com/my-data/.

Is Careerflow legit?

Yes. It is a real company, Careerflow Inc, with a real product. The job-seeker complaints we read are about a surprise renewal, deleting the account, and AI suggestions that needed fixing.

Can Careerflow get my LinkedIn account flagged?

Careerflow says no: it does not use LinkedIn's API or automation against LinkedIn's terms. ClapAssist never touches your LinkedIn account at all; you copy the fixes in yourself.

Does ClapAssist do everything Careerflow does?

No. ClapAssist has no recruiter search, no LinkedIn post writer and no AI headshot review, and it does not work on your LinkedIn page directly. Its only autofill is a small free helper (a bookmark, or an optional extension) that types your contact details and links into a job form you opened. It does give free versions of the job tracker, resume builder, ATS checker, cover letters, skills gap plan and AI mock interview, without an account.

Can I get a refund from Careerflow?

Careerflow's own pages disagree, and we do not know which one it applies. Its FAQ, read 27 September 2026, says "a refund within 7 days of purchase if you're not satisfied — no questions asked". Its terms, read the same day, say the weekly subscription is non-refundable "under all circumstances" and "We do not provide any refunds for any of our services." Ask Careerflow in writing before you pay.

Is ClapAssist affiliated with Careerflow?

No. Careerflow is a trademark of its owner. Its details on this page were read from careerflow.ai on 27 September 2026 and may change.
