Jobscan's free plan gives 5 resume scans a month, and its scan buttons open a sign-up page. ClapAssist's ATS resume checker has no limit and no account: match rate, every missing keyword and a parse score, on the same page, with the resume read in your browser.
Read on from www.jobscan.co. Prices and plans change; check their page before you decide.
Both compare your resume with a job post and show a match rate and the missing keywords. The differences are the limit, the sign-up, and where your resume goes.

Not for these apps. They are web pages. The only extension is an optional one for the job-form autofill helper. |
Jobscan plans, prices and features taken from its own pages on ; the sources are listed above. "Not offered on the pages we read" means their site does not say it, which is not the same as not having it. ClapAssist prices show in your local currency automatically.
A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.
Jobscan keeps your resumes in an account with its Resume Manager, has a Chrome extension on the free plan, and its paid plans add synonym detection, auto-apply credit discounts and interview practice discounts. Some reviewers on Trustpilot credit its match score with finding keyword gaps.
The ClapAssist checker has no scan limit and no sign-up, reads the file in your browser, and gives a parse score next to the match rate. The resume builder, cover letter tools and LinkedIn optimizer are free too.
Public reviews, copied word for word, the good and the bad. Each is one person's view.
“instead of telling me why it was a bad resume, it kept giving me a score under 40%”
“You have to sign up to use it AFTER you send CV...”
“Free trial isn't a free trial - lots of features disabled”
“They make it hard to cancel. No way to cancel directly from account page.”
“ATS match score highlights keyword gaps in Workday scans that candidates overlook.”
“Nearly every application that scored above 75% led to an interview invitation.”
Every app is free with no account. The optional AI buttons have a small free daily allowance per connection. What you give a tool is saved so our tools can fill it in next time; see or delete it at clapassist.com/my-data/. See every free app.
ClapAssist's main product is a desktop app for the live interview itself. It listens to the call on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams and puts a short answer from your own resume on your screen, at your eye line. The window is left out of screen shares on every plan, including Free.
It comes with 10 free interview minutes, once, no card. After that: $14.99 for 120 minutes within 2 days (7 days in India), $39.99 for an unlimited 14 days, or $119.99 for an unlimited 30 days. Prices show in your currency. The career apps above stay free either way.
It is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, and it warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.
Partly. On 27 September 2026 its free plan gave "5 Free Resume Scans monthly", and its scanner page said the Match Report and the first score are free. The scan buttons on that page open a sign-up page. Unlimited scans need a paid plan.
Yes. ClapAssist's ATS resume checker has no scan limit and no account. It shows the match rate for the job, every missing keyword and a parse score, and it reads your file inside your browser.
On 27 September 2026 its pricing page listed a Quarterly plan at $29.98 a month, billed as $89.95 every 3 months after a 7-day free trial, and a Monthly plan at $49.95 a month.
Its pricing FAQ says you may cancel at any time directly in Jobscan or through its support team, and that a trial cancelled before it ends is not charged. On the quarterly plan, the next quarter is billed when the trial ends. Some reviewers on Trustpilot say cancelling was hard, so do it before the trial ends.
No. Jobscan's own page says the ATS does not score your resume and its match rate is a visualization tool. The same is true here: the match rate is an estimate of how many of the job's words your resume carries, not a number the company sees.
On the ClapAssist checker, aim for 75 or more before you apply. The match rate is built from the job post's hard skills, soft skills, the job title, years of experience and degree. A part the post does not ask for is left out of the sum.
A keyword score only measures words. Recruiters read results: what changed because of you, with a number, under a title that matches the post. Fix the content before adding more keywords.
Yes, so our tools can fill it in next time: the file is read in your browser tab and saved to ClapAssist, never shared with employers, and you can delete it anytime at clapassist.com/my-data/. Jobscan keeps resumes in your account.
Not like Jobscan's. Jobscan's free plan includes a Chrome extension. The ClapAssist resume and job apps are web pages: open one, paste or upload, and get the result. The only ClapAssist extension is an optional one for the job-form autofill helper.
No. Jobscan is a trademark of its owner. Its details on this page were read from jobscan.co on 27 September 2026 and may change.
Each page states where that tool beats this one. If one of them fits you better, it is better to find out here.
Open the app, paste or speak, and get the result on the same page.
