Straight answer

When Yoodli is the better pick

A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.

Pick Yoodli if you train for more than job interviews, or your employer pays.

Yoodli covers sales calls, pitches and public speaking, gives feedback on recordings you upload, and has team plans with SSO. Its Advanced plan can be reimbursed as a learning benefit. If you want one coach for every kind of talk, that is its product.

Pick ClapAssist if the job interview is the thing you are practicing for.

The ClapAssist mock interview asks questions for your job, follows up, and counts every um and uh from a word-for-word transcript. No account, no roleplay cap, and nothing to cancel. When the real interview comes, the desktop copilot is there too.

What you get free, with no account

Every app is free with no account. The optional AI buttons have a small free daily allowance per connection. What you give a tool is saved so our tools can fill it in next time; see or delete it at clapassist.com/my-data/. See every free app.

For the real interview

Practice is free. For the real interview, there is the copilot.

ClapAssist's main product is a desktop app for the live interview itself. It listens to the call on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams and puts a short answer from your own resume on your screen, at your eye line. The window is left out of screen shares on every plan, including Free.

It comes with 10 free interview minutes, once, no card. After that: $14.99 for 120 minutes within 2 days (7 days in India), $39.99 for an unlimited 14 days, or $119.99 for an unlimited 30 days. Prices show in your currency. The career apps above stay free either way.

It is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, and it warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.

Questions

Switching from Yoodli

Is there a free alternative to Yoodli?

Yes, for job interviews. ClapAssist's AI mock interview is free with no account: an AI interviewer asks questions for your job, follows up, and reviews pace, filler words, pauses and how each answer was built. The AI review has a daily allowance of several full interviews.

Is Yoodli free?

Partly. On 27 September 2026 its Starter plan was $0 with "Up to 5 roleplays total", which its FAQ calls 5 lifetime sessions, and any practice over 30 seconds counts as one. It needs an account.

How much does Yoodli cost?

On 27 September 2026 its pricing page listed Pro at $8 a month billed annually, with up to 10 roleplays a week that do not roll over, and Advanced at $20 a month billed annually, with unlimited roleplays. Team plans are priced by their sales team.

Is Yoodli good for job interview practice?

It has an interview mode: pick the role, answer questions and follow-ups, get feedback on pace and clarity. Its own page calls interview preparation one of the many ways to use its roleplay technology; most of the site is about sales and team training. If the job interview is your only goal, a tool built only for that is simpler.

Does Yoodli use my practice sessions to train its AI?

Its pricing FAQ says that on the individual Starter and Pro plans, session data may be used to improve the platform, and that Advanced, Team and Enterprise are excluded from AI training by default. On ClapAssist, your answer goes through our server to Google Gemini for the transcript and the review.

Can I practice without a microphone?

Yes. Choose Type my answers. You get the same review of the content, fillers, hedges and length; pace and pauses need a spoken answer.

How does ClapAssist count filler words?

Most speech-to-text tidies away um and uh, so it cannot count them. The mock interview asks the AI for every word as said, fillers and repeats included, and then counts them with fixed rules.

What about the real interview?

Practice is free. For the real call, the ClapAssist desktop app puts a short answer from your resume on your screen, hidden from screen share on every plan, with 10 free minutes before you pay anything.

Is ClapAssist affiliated with Yoodli?

No. Yoodli is a trademark of its owner. Its details on this page were read from yoodli.ai on 27 September 2026 and may change.
