Simplify is best known for Copilot, a free extension that fills in job application forms. ClapAssist only has a small autofill helper, for your contact details and links. What it gives free, with no account, is the rest of the job search: a job tracker, an ATS resume checker, a resume builder, cover letters and an AI mock interview.

Simplify's core is form filling, which ClapAssist does only for contact details. Around it, both give you a tracker, a resume builder, cover letters and interview practice. This is where each one stands.
Simplify: Needed, with a profile for autofill.
ClapAssist: None. Open an app and start.
Simplify: "all payments are non-refundable" once active; 24 hours to ask about an unintended renewal.
ClapAssist: Nothing renews.

Simplify plans, prices and features taken from its own pages on ; the sources are listed above. "Not offered on the pages we read" means their site does not say it, which is not the same as not having it. ClapAssist prices show in your local currency automatically.
A comparison page you can trust has to say this part too.
Simplify Copilot fills Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and 100+ other portals for free, tracks what you apply to by itself, and adds job matches, an iPhone app and Gmail status suggestions. Its AI interview practice has no session limit. ClapAssist's autofill only types your contact details and links, and it has no automatic tracking.
You can use both: let Simplify fill the forms, and keep your tracker, resume versions, cover letters and interview practice here, free and with no account. Missing keywords and AI cover letter drafts, which are Simplify+ features, are free here within a daily allowance.
Public reviews, copied word for word, the good and the bad. Each is one person's view.
“within an hour of getting the service, I cancelled and reached out to customer support asking for a refund ... they said I won't be refunded because that's their policy. So basically I was scammed.”
“The autocomplete tool worked most of the time, but leaves blanks pretty regularly (without notification).”
“I found that I was still doing most of the work myself. I still had to spend a lot of time entering information, managing resumes, and completing applications”
“My last bug email took 9 days to get a response.”
“the most amazing thing i saw is autofilling application and it works on most of the career site”
Every app is free with no account. The optional AI buttons have a small free daily allowance per connection. What you give a tool is saved so our tools can fill it in next time; see or delete it at clapassist.com/my-data/. See every free app.
ClapAssist's main product is a desktop app for the live interview itself. It listens to the call on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams and puts a short answer from your own resume on your screen, at your eye line. The window is left out of screen shares on every plan, including Free.
It comes with 10 free interview minutes, once, no card. After that: $14.99 for 120 minutes within 2 days (7 days in India), $39.99 for an unlimited 14 days, or $119.99 for an unlimited 30 days. Prices show in your currency. The career apps above stay free either way.
It is built for video interviews. It is not a way around locked-down coding test sites like HackerRank or CoderPad, and it warns you when an exam app is open instead of hiding from it. Read is ClapAssist safe for the full limits.
Only a little. ClapAssist's free autofill helper types your name, email, phone, location and links into a job form you opened, lists the boxes left for you and gives copy-ready answers to common screening questions; you fill the rest and submit. It does not track your applications by itself. It gives you a free job tracker, an ATS resume checker, a resume builder and a cover letter generator, all without an account. If form filling is what you need, Simplify does that.
The core is. Simplify says its autofill, job tracker, job matches and basic resume builder stay free, and its AI interviewer is free. AI resume tailoring, AI cover letters, answers to application questions and AI emails need Simplify+ (Simplify help center, read 27 September 2026). You need an account and a profile either way.
$19.99 for 1 week, $39.99 for 1 month or $89.99 for 3 months, renewing automatically until you cancel. Simplify has no public pricing page; these prices are from its help center article on Simplify+ features and pricing, read 27 September 2026.
Usually not. Simplify's refund policy, updated 26 August 2026, says payments are non-refundable once the subscription is active, and that dissatisfaction with AI output is not grounds for a refund. An accidental renewal may get a pro-rated refund if you write within 24 hours.
Yes. It is a real company, Simplify Jobs, Inc., with a real product. The complaints we read are about refunds, autofill that fills fields wrong or leaves blanks, and slow support.
For everything except full autofill, yes. ClapAssist's job application tracker, resume builder, ATS resume checker, cover letter tools and AI mock interview open with no account and no extension. Your tracker and documents are saved in your browser and to ClapAssist, so our tools can fill them in; delete them anytime at clapassist.com/my-data/. The AI buttons have a small free daily allowance.
Simplify's help center says its tracker can export a CSV file. ClapAssist's tracker imports any CSV with a Company or Job title column. We have not tested a Simplify export file ourselves.
Simplify's privacy policy, updated 19 August 2026, says it shares your application with employers when you apply, may present selected candidates to employers through recruiter matching, and trains its own AI on your activity. ClapAssist saves what you give its tools so they can fill it in next time, never shares it with employers and never trains AI on it; you can delete it anytime at clapassist.com/my-data/.
No. Simplify is a trademark of its owner. Its details on this page were read from simplify.jobs and its help center on 27 September 2026 and may change.
