Short answer · read on 18 October 2026

How much Final Round AI costs

Final Round AI has a free plan, but it does not include the live interview copilot. The live copilot needs a paid plan. On 18 October 2026 its own subscription page showed one of two sets of plans. Most visits showed $150 for one month, down to $25 a month if you pay a year up front ($300 at once). Some visits showed a set that starts at $250 for 2 months.

The "per month" price is not what you pay at checkout on the longer plans. You pay the whole period up front. This page lists every plan, the amount each one bills, what 1, 3 or 12 months cost in total, the refund rules and how to cancel, all from Final Round AI's own pages. Prices can change, so check its subscription page before you pay.

Key takeaways

  • Free plan: no live copilot and no practice rounds. Those need a paid plan.
  • Most visits showed $150 for one month, or $25 a month paid as $300 for a year.
  • Some visits showed a second set: $250 for 2 months up to $750 for a year.
  • Refund: 72 hours on every plan, once per person, not after 2 sessions over 30 minutes.
  • Cancel in Settings → Account & Billing → Manage subscription, before the renewal date.

Every plan, and what it actually bills

The subscription page shows a price "per month". On every plan except Monthly, that figure is multiplied by the months in the billing period and charged at once. The last column does that sum. The page may round its monthly figure, so the real charge can differ by a few cents; the checkout shows the exact amount.

Plan set A (seen on 4 of 5 visits on 18 October 2026)

PlanPrice as shownBilledYou pay each time
Monthly Plan“$150.00 / MONTH”every month$150
Quarterly Plan“$83.33 / MONTH (BILLED QUARTERLY)”every 3 months$83.33 × 3 = $249.99
Yearly Plan“$25.00 / MONTH (BILLED ANNUALLY)”every 12 months$25 × 12 = $300
Premium MAX Plan“$41.67 / MONTH (BILLED ANNUALLY)”every 12 months$41.67 × 12 = $500.04

Plan set B (seen on 1 of 5 visits on 18 October 2026)

PlanPrice as shownBilledYou pay each time
Prep“$125.00 / MONTH (BILLED EVERY 2 MONTHS)”every 2 months$125 × 2 = $250
Offer“$83.33 / MONTH (BILLED HALF-YEARLY)”every 6 months$83.33 × 6 = $499.98
Career“$62.50 / MONTH (BILLED ANNUALLY)”every 12 months$62.50 × 12 = $750

Why two sets? Final Round AI does not say. We loaded the same page five times on 18 October 2026 with the same US settings and got set A four times and set B once; both also appeared on 17 October 2026. It may be a price test. You cannot choose which set you see, so read the plan names on your screen: Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly and Premium MAX are set A; Prep, Offer and Career are set B.

Discounts: the subscription page also shows "You've got an Interview Offer. Sign in to reveal today's discount." Its FAQ says it runs "limited-time promotions for job seekers, students, and returning users" and points to finalroundai.com/discount. The home page shows the paid plan as "Pro $25+/mo" with "Save up to 40%". We did not sign in, so any signed-in discount is not on this page.

Free plan

What the free plan includes

The subscription page lists the Free Plan at "$0.00 / MONTH" with two items: "Basic AI interview report" and "Interview prep management". The home page describes it as "Unlimited Goals with resume and materials", "Job description parsing and prep checklist" and "Desktop app on macOS and Windows".

What it does not include, in Final Round AI's own words:

  • No live copilot: "There is no free trial - live sessions need an active Pro subscription." (home page)
  • No practice rounds: "Starting a Practice Interview session requires an active plan that includes session access, so the practice rounds themselves are a paid feature." (AI mock interview page)

How to test it before you pay, and which tools do have a free option: Final Round AI free trial.

So the free plan lets you set up the app, add your resume and a job, and look around. To hear how the live answers sound on a real call, you have to pay. The 72-hour refund window is the closest thing to a trial.

Paid plans

What the paid plans include

Every paid plan in both sets lists the same core, after "Everything in Free, plus:":

  • Unlimited Interview Copilot
  • Stealth mode
  • Advanced AI interview report
  • All interview types (Coding, HireVue, Phone & more)
  • Full question bank (10,000+ questions)
  • Standard AI models

The differences between plans are small:

PlanExtra on top of the core list
Monthly, Quarterly (set A); Prep, Offer (set B)Nothing extra.
Yearly (set A); Career (set B)"Standard AI models — fast & reliable" and "Priority support".
Premium MAX (set A)"Premium AI models — top-tier speed & accuracy", "Early access to new AI features" and "Priority+ support (under 1 hr response)".

The home page lists what the paid Pro plan unlocks in other words: "Unlimited live Interview CoPilot sessions", "Stealth Mode", "Automatic AI debriefs", "Practice interviews" and "Screen help with Auto-capture". The app runs on "macOS 14.4+ and Windows".

Total cost for 1, 3 or 12 months

The question most people really have: "I need it for my job search. What will I pay in total?" Below is the cheapest way to cover 1, 3 or 12 months with each plan set, and what the other plans would cost for the same time. The sums assume you buy a plan as many times as needed and cancel before the next renewal. They leave out tax, discounts and refunds.

You needCheapest totalOther plans for the same time
Set A, 1 month$150
Monthly Plan: $150 (one Monthly Plan charge), covers 1 month

Set A, 3 months$249.99
Quarterly Plan: $249.99 (one Quarterly Plan charge), covers 3 months
Yearly Plan: $300 (one Yearly Plan charge); Monthly Plan: 3 × $150 = $450; Premium MAX Plan: $500.04 (one Premium MAX Plan charge)
Set A, 12 months$300
Yearly Plan: $300 (one Yearly Plan charge), covers 12 months
Premium MAX Plan: $500.04 (one Premium MAX Plan charge); Quarterly Plan: 4 × $249.99 = $999.96; Monthly Plan: 12 × $150 = $1,800
Set B, 1 month$250
Prep: $250 (one Prep charge), covers 2 months
Offer: $499.98 (one Offer charge); Career: $750 (one Career charge)
Set B, 3 months$499.98
Offer: $499.98 (one Offer charge), covers 6 months
Prep: 2 × $250 = $500; Career: $750 (one Career charge)
Set B, 12 months$750
Career: $750 (one Career charge), covers 12 months
Offer: 2 × $499.98 = $999.96; Prep: 6 × $250 = $1,500

What the table shows:

  • The "$25 a month" plan only costs that if you use it for a year. For one month of use, it still costs $300. The cheapest single month in set A is the Monthly Plan at $150.
  • Set B has no one-month plan. Its shortest plan, Prep, bills $250 for 2 months, so even one month costs $250.
  • For a full year, set A's Yearly Plan ($300) costs less than set B's Career plan ($750), for the same core features.
  • Every plan renews on its own unless you cancel. Their terms of use say: "Your subscription to the Services will continue and renew automatically until terminated."
Refund policy · last updated 8 October 2026

Refund rules

Final Round AI rewrote its refund policy on 8 October 2026. In short:

  • 72 hours, every plan. "We offer a 3-day (72-hour) money-back guarantee on initial and renewal subscription charges. This guarantee applies to all subscription plans, including monthly, quarterly, and annual plans where offered."
  • Not if you used it a lot. "Substantial use means at least 2 interview sessions in the current billing period, each lasting strictly more than 30 minutes." With that much use, the guarantee does not apply.
  • Once per person. "The guarantee applies once per customer across all accounts and plans."
  • Fees can be taken off. "For payments processed through Stripe, approved refunds will be reduced by the payment processing fees charged on the original transaction that Stripe does not return to us."
  • After 72 hours, payments are final, except where the law requires a refund, for their own billing mistakes, or case by case "for verified product or technical issues when the account has no substantial use".

How to ask: email hi@finalroundai.com with your account email, the purchase or renewal date, the plan type and the reason. The policy says the 72 hours are counted from when you send the email, not when they answer, and that approved refunds are started "within 5 to 7 business days after approval".

One conflict to know about. On 18 October 2026 the FAQ on the subscription page still said the guarantee covers only "first-time purchases of Quarterly and Yearly Plans" and that "Monthly plans are non-refundable. Renewals and plan upgrades are also non-refundable." The refund policy and the terms of use (both last updated 8 October 2026) say the opposite. If you need a refund, quote the refund policy in your email and send it inside the 72 hours.

Cancelling

How to cancel Final Round AI

From its refund policy: "You can manage cancellation through Settings → Account & Billing → Manage subscription."

  1. Open Final Round AI and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account & Billing, then Manage subscription, and cancel.
  3. Do it before the renewal date. The policy says: "You must complete cancellation before the next renewal to avoid the next charge."
  4. If you also want your money back, email hi@finalroundai.com separately within 72 hours of the charge. "Cancelling a subscription does not itself submit a refund request."

Cancelling stops future charges but "does not refund the current billing period". Their terms also say they will tell you "at least one month before any price changes will become effective", so a renewal at a new price should not come as a surprise.

Privacy policy · last updated 8 October 2026

What it keeps, before you pay

Price is not the only cost. Final Round AI's privacy policy says it collects "interview transcriptions, interviewer questions, and users responses", plus "your resume, cover letter, any supporting materials you upload". Depending on the features you use, that can include "session audio recordings, voice samples, screen captures".

It also says: "Selected customer data may be used for AI Training Uses", which it defines as using selected data "to develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, test, and improve artificial intelligence and machine-learning models". It says that where the law needs separate consent it will ask for it, and that you can contact hi@finalroundai.com to access, correct or delete your data.

Where Final Round AI is the better pick: if you will prepare for months in one app, its Yearly Plan is a low monthly price, and it bundles practice rounds, debriefs and a large question bank with the live copilot. ClapAssist does not have a question bank inside the app or debrief scoring of live calls.

Where ClapAssist may fit better: if you have one or two interviews and do not want a plan that renews. ClapAssist is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that shows answers from your resume during the call, hidden from screen share on every plan. Live call audio and screenshots are never stored; your resume, notes, the written recap and the interview transcript are saved to your account (you can switch transcripts off in Settings and delete them). Its AI mock interview is free in the browser: try a practice round. Side by side: Final Round AI alternative · LockedIn AI vs Final Round AI.
